Unlike my current favorite TV show Game of Thrones, winter is NOT coming to Shanghai. In fact, it’s getting pretty hot and sticky over here, but it’s still way better than Hong Kong weather (where it’s been Summer basically since February). You definitely get more mileage out of your winter gear than you would in most places in Asia (at least this year). Finally found a nice and THIN jacket from H&M that I can wear when I’m going for a nice ride around the neighborhood or if I know I’m going into somewhere well air-conditioned. Believe it or not, this is my first “blue” jacket that I’ve bought in maybe a decade. I don’t do blue, never really have. More of a black/white/grey guy. But you know what, I’m in a new city so why not. So this preppy/k-pop/suburban kid look is one of my ventures into the unknown. A navy blue jacket with slim fit khakis (from Saturday Surf NYC, but you can find similar ones here) and white low-top Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars would have been a straight up Carlton Banks-esque Halloween costume if you asked me two years ago. But I kind of like it every once in awhile, makes me look less angry (if you can ignore my perma-mad face). Other items include Moratorium necklace, white tee and Misfits Snapback from Supreme.
